Join us for a this informational breakfast on the impacts Covid-19 has had on the restaurant and lodging business in NC and what the NC Restaurant and Lodging Association is doing to stabilize the industry in the short-term and set the foundation for long-term rebuilding.
Lynn Minges, President and CEO of the NC Restaurant and Lodging Association (NCRLA) will provide insight into the economic impact of the pandemic on taxable sales, hotel occupancy and employment.
NC restaurants, hotels and taverns have been disproportionately hurt by the COVID-19 pandemic. The reduction of business and leisure travel and the forced cancellation of meetings, conventions, weddings, festivals and sporting events have resulted in a significant reduction in hotel stays and corresponding restaurant and hotel sales. Immediate government relief is needed for short-term survival and long-term recovery.
NCRLA works with policymakers, industry partners and subject-matter experts to advocate for policies that support businesses and employees. Find out what Lynn and her team are doing to support this vital sector of North Carolina's economy.
