Hope Rocks is a free program designed by Coastal Carolina Outreach to provide peer connection, guide self-reflection, and help develop healthy coping strategies so the participants have the tools, optimism, and confidence to live their best lives. This will be done through peer discussion, journaling, time outside, art, and education in topics like communication, emotions, and coping tools.
The group leader will be Carrie Higgins. She is a mental health advocate and knows how important it is to live a balanced life and practice self-care. She has over fifteen years of experience teaching in the public schools and has a master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Supervision. These qualifications, as well as, her accreditation as a group life coach, enable her to provide a program that can have a positive impact on the lives of the participants.
