Machining Technology - I

This course introduces machining operations as they relate to the metalworking industry.  Topic includes machine shop safety, measuring tools, job planning, etc.  This course teaches lathe operations, drilling techniques, milling operations, surface grinding, and job layout strategies.  The instructor also emphasizes machine maintenance, soft skills, and teamwork.  Students will have the opportunity to earn third-party credentials through the National Institute of Metalworking Skills NIMS.  Book required
