Wine Fest 2020

Wine Fest is the Ocean Isle Museum Foundation’s premier annual fundraiser. Proceeds benefit the Museum of Coastal Carolina in Ocean Isle Beach and Ingram Planetarium in Sunset Beach.

Four area restaurants and two wine vendors are participating in 2020 Wine Fest. Maria’s Pizzeria, Pelican’s Perch Bar & Grill, Robertos Ristorante, all located in Ocean Isle Beach, and Art Catering in Shallotte will provide “lite bites” ranging from conventional grill dishes to local seafood delicacies to mouth-watering desserts. Area wine vendors who will provide tasting stations are Petrea Imports and Coastal Wine Room.

Guests can enjoy great food, wine, music, live and silent auctions and an exciting “Speak Easy” room with gaming tables this year – while supporting these two local educational attractions. Wine Fest also hosts a cork pull where guests can win an expensive wine.

Accompanying the event each year is an art contest in which artists submit original works incorporating the theme. This year’s theme is the Roaring 20s: Then and Now. Terri Ballengee of Cary, NC, submitted the winning entry, an acrylic featuring an elegant woman dressed in Roaring 20s attire. Her painting will be used in Wine Fest promotional materials and auctioned off during the live auction on the night of the event.
