My name is Hayden Mann  owner and operator of Coastal Art & Creations. As a 2018 winner of the Brunswick County Kids Expo I have learned a lot about entrepreneurship and small business ownership this past year. Most of the ideas for the products that I sell in my business come from necessity, or reading how-to articles. My dad is largely responsible for my knowledge of tool usage and safety. Everything that you find in my store is handcrafted by me. My most popular sales items include hand painted decorative oars, coconut sea salt hand scrub, coastal style breakfast trays, solid wood buoys and this year I have added a new product...themed and easy to use bait buckets. 90% of the profit from my business goes straight into my college fund, while 10% goes back into the business for raw materials and supplies. Like many coastal kids I enjoy fishing, kayaking and reading in my free time.
